Pourquoi ne parle-t-on jamais de nous? Nous avons beau \u00eatre l\u2019avant-derni\u00e8re en taille des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations majeures (les mill\u00e9nariaux et la Gen Z composent environ 32 % de la population canadienne, les Baby-Boomers 32 % et les a\u00een\u00e9s 8 %), nous repr\u00e9sentons tout de m\u00eame plus du quart de la population du pays et poss\u00e9dons un pouvoir d\u2019achat plut\u00f4t Important.<\/p>\n<p>Eh oui, la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration Musique Plus a pris du galon et s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e0 bien plus que Les BB et Virginie. Nous avons entre 43 et 58 ans, menons des carri\u00e8res stables et avons atteint notre r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration maximale. Notre angoisse de l\u2019adolescence s\u2019est \u00e9vapor\u00e9e, laissant place \u00e0 un confort in\u00e9gal\u00e9. En effet, les x\u00e9niaux m\u00e8nent la cohorte des m\u00e9nages canadiens ayant un revenu sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 100 000 $ par ann\u00e9e. Nous sommes bien loin d\u2019\u00eatre les \u00ab jeunes paresseux \u00bb que plusieurs critiquaient \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque.<\/p>\n<p>Les x\u00e9niaux sont \u00e9galement la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration la plus occup\u00e9e. Constamment en train de jongler entre responsabilit\u00e9s familiales et professionnelles, ils sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 payer un surplus pour se simplifier la vie. Selon une \u00e9tude, 73 % des x\u00e9niaux ont achet\u00e9 des repas pr\u00e9par\u00e9s dans les six derniers mois. Cela permet entre autres aux marques d\u2019accro\u00eetre leur marge de profit. Et, parce que nous sommes pris en sandwich entre nos parents Boomers et nos enfants de la Gen Z, notre difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 concilier travail et famille est encore plus grande. Mais ce d\u00e9fi que doit relever la G\u00e9n\u00e9ration X repr\u00e9sente une occasion en or pour les sp\u00e9cialistes du marketing. Une autre \u00e9tude d\u00e9montre que 75 % des x\u00e9niaux offrent une aide financi\u00e8re \u00e0 leurs parents, tandis que 54 % admettent g\u00e9rer les d\u00e9penses de leurs enfants. En plus d\u2019\u00eatre en contr\u00f4le de leur propre budget, ils ont donc une influence importante sur la gestion du portefeuille de deux autres g\u00e9n\u00e9rations.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 cela, la G\u00e9n\u00e9ration X est trop souvent tenue \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart des grandes conversations marketing. Il est temps que les marques tiennent compte du pouvoir de cette g\u00e9n\u00e9ration oubli\u00e9e!<\/p>\n<p>Voici quelques \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer lorsque vous ciblez les x\u00e9niaux :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nous sommes sceptiques. Nous ne tombons pas facilement dans le pi\u00e8ge de la publicit\u00e9 tape-\u00e0-l\u2019\u0153il. Nous pr\u00e9f\u00e9rons les arguments pratiques et les preuves de rendement.<\/li>\n<li>Nous recherchons l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 (haut haut, bas bas, gauche droite, gauche droite, B, A, \u00e7a vous dit quelque chose?) et r\u00e9pondons bien aux marques capables de nous l\u2019offrir.<\/li>\n<li>Nous aimons l\u2019information. Nous passons beaucoup de temps \u00e0 effectuer des recherches via les moteurs de recherche, les m\u00e9dias sociaux et les critiques de produits en ligne avant de faire un achat.<\/li>\n<li>Nous utilisons tous les canaux. Nous sommes \u00e0 l\u2019aise avec la technologie, mais les m\u00e9thodes de marketing traditionnelles fonctionnent aussi avec nous.
